Frequently asked questions about astronomy posters
Which poster is right for a child’s room?
The Solar System poster. It’s understood straight away, shows the relative sizes and already works as something to look at in the preschool years. Constellation and Messier posters are too abstract for children.
Poster or planisphere?
They serve different purposes. The poster hangs indoors and gets learned in passing; the planisphere comes outside with you and shows the sky for the current moment. Together they cost under 30 euros.
Does an astronomy poster need a frame?
Not necessarily, but a simple frame extends its life considerably – especially for maps you handle often. For the Moon map, laminating it is a good alternative, because then it can also lie outside next to the telescope.
